Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2 Chronograph Racing Watch: Unreasonabe Limited Edition

Jaeger-LeCoultre is going to launch a chronograph that is limited to only 24 pieces soon. Such rare timepiece is called Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2 Chronograph Racing watch.

I just can’t understand what’s the point of producing such a limited number of watches. 24 pieces around the world? Even Bill Gates may not get such watch if he do not get to Paris early where the watch will be sold, should Bill shows interest to such watch.

But I guess Bill would not show interest to such a watch should he has a good taste on watches. Actually the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX Chronograph is not very expensive when compared to other prestigious watchmakers, given such few watches are produced. It is estimated to be sold at 20,000 dollars.

And it has not much special features that justify why JLC would limited its production number. It does has some innovative feature that you may not find on other watch brands. According to JLC, the AMVOX chronograph features a patented vertical-trigger mechanism, which enable the wear to activate and inactivate the chronograph function by simply pressing the sapphire crystal. But such pushpiece-free system has already been applied in JLC’s previous AMVOX models, so the new limited edition actually has nothing breakthrough except for its unreasonable production number.

I think the pictures above are of different models, but I found none description about the limited edition Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX Chronograph at JLC’s lousy official website. I think they really should keep a archive for every their model even if they had been sold out. I think they really did not take the responsibility of being the official news source of their watches. I guess this is why it is wiser to spend your money on replica watches. The authentic watches just doesn’t justify our hard-earned money.

Dressy and Fashionable: Raymond Weil Freelancer Gold Chronograph

Raymond Weil added a new pink gold date chronograph water-resistant to 100 meters.to its Freelance watch line recently.

With a pink gold case in 42mm wide and a dark brown leather strap, the watch looks stylish and elegant. But it just cannot arouse my “Wow” feeling. Maybe because it’s a bit too formal and dressy for me and it’s not the style I like. I like watches with sharp contrast and harmonious color scheme.

Anyway, pink gold is said to become popular in 2010, this watch will absolutely appeal to those who would like to follow the fashion in a mature and tasteful way.

Watch For the Brave: Romain Jerome Titanic-DNA Tourbillon Steampunk watch A la Grande

Romain Jerome released a new piece of wristwatch called Titanic-DNA Tourbillon Steampunk watch A la Grande earlier this year. I think the watch is really frightening.

Just look at its pockmarked brown face would make me uncomfortable. It even reminds me of a disgusting dish designed for Halloween. I think the watch matches with this kind of wrist perfectly.

In fact, the horrible bezel is one of the major selling point of this watch. It is made of a mixture of real shipwreck of the famous Titanic passenger liner from the 3840 meters under the sea and the steel got from the very shipyard where Titanic was made. This is probably a nightmare for those dastards wearers.

I think it would be too heavy-hearted to wear a watch that would reminds you of the tragedy that claimed 1503 lives every second. It is nothing honorable to show off such a luxury watch that made of the Titanic wreckage except for the Titanic movie fans.

Anyway, if you want to scare someone, it is a perfect watch. It is not outdated to wear this watch next Halloween. By the way, if you think it not acceptable to wear a watch made of the Titanic material, consider the Romain Jerome replica watches. You can rest assured that they are definitely not made of such weird materials and are much cheaper.

TAG HEUER AQUARACER 500M Calibre 5: the Rare Green International Limited Edition

Tag Heuer introduced 2 mysterious limited edition of Aquaracer Calibre 5 watches this year. Some called it the Leonardo DiCaprio Limited Edition because the famous actor was named TAG Heuer's new brand ambassador earlier this year and was seen sporting the Tag Heuer Aquaracer watches in a magazine ad.

But if you take a careful examination of the pictures above and below, you will find why I said the 2 limited edition watches are rare. As you can see in the middle of the watch dial, it says ‘Green Cross’ instead of ‘Calibre 5’ as usual.

I checked in Tag Heuer’s website but just could not find any information about these two rare watches except for the following picture:

As other posts showed, Green Cross international is one of the most influential and effective environmental organizations endeavoring to preserve our planet's resources for future generations. Tag Heuer and Leonardo DiCaprio would make some donations to Green Cross international and another environmental organization, the Natural Resources Defense Council.

The two 43-millimeter watches are in blue dial with rubber strap and steel bracelet, respectively. They are water resistant to 500 meters. Only 1600 pieces are available worldwide, retailing at $2,450.

I think the steel bracelet edition is more stylish than the rubber strap edition. But if I can choose one of them to make scuba diving, I would definitely choose the latter, because it looks more sporty. Although there is not much to say about the appearance of these two watches, they are just too ordinary and make me think of the Rolex See Dweller, they are still worth of notice because they are limited edition watches, and with little report.
